How would you define a sport?

Playing a sport can mean so many different things to so many different people. To some, playing a sport is meant solely for fun and games. To others, they feel so passionately about playing that sport, that it eventually becomes something they want to pursue as a career. Many do sports to stay in good shape, which in my opinion, is a strong and plausible reason. In contrast, a lot of others do it mainly for a common reason; they love being a part of the competitive and intense atmosphere that sports bring to the table. In the eyes of humanity, there are so many ways in which sports are defined. In my opinion, a sport is an enjoyable, competitive, and fun physical activity where you compete against others and strive for a victory. Essentially, I believe that a sport is just one big competition.

Finding the true meaning of a sport is something our world deeply struggles with. So many people have different opinions about what a sport really is. Certain people believe that in order for something to be a sport, there needs to be some sort of physical activity or endurance. Others believe that there just needs to be a sense of competition in order for it to be a sport. On the contrary, I believe that you can't really tell someone what a sport is and what a sport is not. Whether the activity is being played individually or as a team, I think that as long as that it consists of having fun or being in a competitive state I believe it is considered a sport. In reality, there really is no genuine or true meaning of a sport, the real meaning applies and or relates to how you personally feel towards that physical activity or hobby.
